New Knitting Project

This is what I have been occupying myself with for the whole day today. Yup, I am into knitwear design again. This was planned a week ago and I decided to take today off to treat myself to some fun at home - for total relaxation.
I went to Golden Dragon last Saturday and fell in love with Sidar's Calico. This 60% cotton 40% acrylic marshmellow-soft yarn comes in sweet marshmellow colors you simply can't resist. I eventually picked this one, light blue. 7 skeins for a short cardigan for slightly under $50, not too bad.

You can see I only got the schematic for back piece worked out here, the rest - front piece and the sleeves, I will decide how I want to shape them as I go along.

What have I accomplished today? 5 rows of ribbings and 11 rows of pattern stitches and that is SLOW. Reason being I unpicked 12 rows this morning and started all over again this afternoon...... but no regrets......
